Day 01

Take a car from Colombo to Kandy and make a stop at Pinnawala’s Elephant Orphanage. After your cultural tour make sure to visit the holy Temple of the Tooth and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Enjoy the calm atmosphere of the evening as you bid Kandy farewell.

 

Day 02

Beautiful views of Sri Lanka’s highlands can be seen on the train trip from Kandy to Nanu Oya. When you visit Nuwara Eliya make sure to visit a nearby tea farm and manufacturing facility to observe the art of tea making. Take in the stunning mountain views while taking a leisurely evening boat ride on Gregory Lake. Stay overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 04

Visit the Little Adam’s Peak early in the morning for breathtaking views of Ella. View the well-known Nine Arch Bridge, a breathtaking architectural marvel set in the middle of the jungle. Once you return to Ella spend one more evening admiring the beauty and serenity of the surrounding area.

 

Day 05

Travel to Yala from Ella by car and stop at the stunning Ravana Waterfall en route. Take a thrilling Jeep Safari ride in Yala National Park. Spend the night in Yala to round off the day.

Day 06

On day 6 of the tour make your way over to Mirissa by car.

Day 07

Take a thrilling whale-watching trip in Mirissa to start the day off right. See the magnificent blue whales and dolphins, then board a train to Bentota. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride at Bentota Turtle Hatchery along the Madu River. Give yourself time to unwind and take in the seaside city this evening, afterwards ending your night in Bentota.

Day 08

Take the train to Colombo and explore the locals and their environment. Enjoy the lively streets, famous structures and captivating sights of Colombo once you are there. Enjoy your final night in Colombo and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

 

Day 09

Depart for the airport with unforgettable memories of your Sri Lankan adventure.
